Prescription Drug

Indication

• Treatment of all forms of tuberculosis in conjunction with at least one other antituberculous drug.  (See table for recommended regimens in pediatric tuberculosis).
• For the treatment of asymptomatic carriers of Neisseria meningitides to eliminate meningococci from the nasopharynx.
• As a prophylactic antimicrobial agent after exposure to meningococcal infection.
