Indication

Hepatitis B vaccine 20 mcg/mL dose is for the active immunization against hepatitis B infection in adults and children >10 years old.

• For primary immunization against HBV infection caused by all known subtypes, and to stimulate active immunity to HBV in children, who are, or will be, at increased risk of potential exposure to HBV or HBsAg-positive materials (e.g. blood, plasma, serum).
• Hepatitis D occurs only in the presence of hepatitis B. By immunizing against hepatitis B, we can also prevent hepatitis D.
• Hepatitis B vaccine will not prevent hepatitis caused by other agents, such as hepatitis A, C, and E viruses, or other pathogens known to infect the liver.
