While there is no right or wrong time to take vitamins, iron supplements like Hemarate® FA may be taken before meals for better absorption. For some who experience gastrointestinal upset, it may be taken after meals.
Yes, Hemarate® FA can be taken by pregnant and breastfeeding women as it has Iron and Folic Acid, important nutrients needed by pregnant patients. Pregnant patients are pre-disposed to iron deficiency anemia which they need iron to avoid this, and they need to take folic acid to prevent neural tube defects for the baby.
Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, bloating and upper abdomninal discomfort, diarrhea or constipation. If any undesireable effect occurs, we highly recommend that you consult your doctor.
