Allerkid must not be taken with alcohol, medicines for anxiety or sleep disorder (like Alprazolam, Diazepam, Chlordiazepoxide, Tamazepam, Triazolam), medicines for depression (Amitriptyline, Doxepin, Nortriptyline, Fluoxitine, Sertraline, Paroxetine), and other cold or allergy medicines that cause drowsiness, sleepiness, relaxation because of the possibility of increased side effects.

There are no known interactions between Allerkid and multivitamins. However, it is recommended to consult your child’s doctor for the proper management of your child’s condition.

It can be given once-a-day, preferably at night before your child goes to sleep.

Allerkid is an over the counter medicine that can be bought without a doctor’s prescription. However, it is always best to consult your doctor before giving any medicine to your child.

Allerkid® contains cetirizine, an anti-allergy. It is used for the relief of symptoms associated
with allergic rhinitis such as sneezing, runny, itchy nose, watery eyes, allergic conjunctivitis and
skin symptoms of allergy such as itch and rash.
Generally, over-the-the counter medications such as cetirizine are taken as needed only.
However, your child’s doctor/pediatrician may prescribe cetirizine for a longer period of time
based on his or her medical assessment.

The duration of intake of Allerkid depends on the condition being treated. We strongly

Infants 6 months –less than 12 months: 2.5 mg (1 mL) once a day

2 – 5 years: Drops: 5 mg (2 mL) once a day or 2.5 mg
(1 mL) twice a day (every 12 hours)
Syrup: 5 mL (1 teaspoonful) once a day or 2.5
mL (1/2 teaspoonful) twice a day (every
12 hours)

6 – 12 years: 10 mL (2 teaspoonsful) once a day or 5 mL
(1 teaspoonful) twice a day (every 12 hours)
