UNDESIRABLE EFFECTS
Omeprazole is well-tolerated. Adverse reactions are generally mild and reversible. The following adverse effects have been reported:
Dermatologic: skin rash, urticaria, pruritus
GI Effects: constipation, diarrhea, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, acid regurgitation, abdominal pain
Others: asthenia, headache, photosensitivity, dizziness, lightheadedness, arthritic and myalgic symptoms, paresthesia
The following were reported in isolated cases: photosensitivity, bullous eruption, erythema multiforme, SJS, toxic epidermal necrolysis, angioedema, alopecia, dry mouth, stomatitis, candidiasis, somnolence, insomnia, vertigo
Occurs predominantly in severely ill patients: reversible mental confusion, agitation, depression, hallucinations
