Unilab wins six Tambuli awards

Unilab bagged five bronzes and one silver at the recent Tambuli Awards for its advertising campaigns and engagement programs that promote societal values.

Bayanihan, hard work, productivity

Unilab Ideas Positive, a social marketing engagement program with the youth, led this year’s win with a Silver Tambuli—the highest honor given this year in the Public Relations-initiated Campaign category.  Unilab Ideas Positive was recognized for promoting the Bayanihan spirit among the youth by tapping their energy and creativity in developing social marketing projects that promote health and wellness in communities. Three of the best social marketing projects were given seed money for implementation on its pilot year.

Meanwhile, Alaxan FR’s “Aray Ko, Galing Ko” campaign took home four Bronze Tambulis for Best Established Brand Campaign , Best Innovative and Integrated Media, Best Insights and Strategic Thinking, and Best in Creative Idea and Execution categories. The campaign paid tribute to working class Filipinos who persevere and do their work well to be successful, regardless of the pain they have to endure—consistent with Alaxan FR’s product benefit, best expressed in the line "At hindi ako takot umaray. May Alaxan FR naman."

Enervon Multivitamins also won a Bronze Tambuli in Best in Creative Idea and Execution category for the “Hapontukin” campaign, which focused on improving productivity in the workplace through the steady energy that Enervon gives. Capitalizing on Filipinos’ penchant for humor and creativity, the Hapontukin campaign encouraged practical and creative physical exercises for a more productive and fun atmosphere in the workplace.

Good programs, good values

The recognition that Unilab received from the Tambuli Awards this year reaffirms the company’s commitment not only to the promotion of health and wellness among Filipinos, but also the promotion of positive values in society through its products, services, and programs.

Tambuli Awards, given by the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P), is “the first and only award globally that recognizes both the business and societal values of marketing communications programs. It complements existing industry awards based solely on either creative merit or human values by recognizing integrated campaigns proven to deliver positive results for both the company and society at large.”
