UNITED LABORATORIES, INC. (UNILAB), the country’s largest and leading pharmaceutical and healthcare company, gives a grant to the University of the Philippines Foundation, Inc. to establish the Dr. Conrado S. Dayrit Centennial Professorial Chair in Medicine and Basic Sciences.
The Professorial Chair will be awarded to qualified faculty members of the University of the Philippines System in the disciplines where the late Dr. Dayrit made significant contributions, namely: Medicine, Pharmacology, Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. The Professorial Chair takes effect in January 2008, which is also the start of UP’s centennial year celebration.
