- TasteRite(with US Approved patent)
Improves patient compliance and promotes easier administration
The tasteRite technology significantly reduces the bitterness of medicine so that children taste the flavor and not the medicine. It is a unique taste-masking system developed specifically for liquid dosage forms including syrups, ready-to-use suspensions,
or extemporaneously prepared liquid syrup or suspension such as dry powder for reconstitution with water, liquid concentrate for dilution, dispersible tablet or capsule.
- SureDose (with US Approved Patent)
Ensures efficacy with accurate and uniform dosage
The SureDose technology keeps the drug uniformly distributed in suspension during prolonged storage periods even without shaking.
It is a single-shake suspension technology which ensures that the child always receives an accurate dose of the drug, spoon-for-spoon.
- ZincPlus
Ensures stable and good-tasting liquid compositions containing vitamin C and minerals
ZincPlus provides an aqueous oral liquid composition that combines vitamin C with Zinc and/or iron, wherein the Vitamin C has improved stability.
The liquid composition does not have the unpleasant taste characteristic of zinc and/or iron. The technology may be used in liquid compositions containing vitamins and minerals.
ClearCalcium (with US Approved Patent)
Provides good-tasting, fast-dissolving calcium in a powdered beverage mix
Using the proprietary formulation of this technology, 300 mg calcium per dose can be incorporated in a powdered beverage mix which dissolves rapidly with no visible calcium sedimentation when stirred by hand for less than 20 seconds,
while at the same time imparting no calcium aftertaste to the reconstituted liquid.
 Biotechnology
Unilab is also dedicated to the development of new and innovative technologies for the present and future biopharmaceutical products through its affiliate company in China—Shanghai United Cell Biotechnology Co., Ltd.
It is located in the Jin Qiao Biotechnology Industrial Part in Pudong, Shanghai. The facilities and management are considered to be of global standards by international health organization and its peers in the industry.
The company has forged numerous partnerships with major pharmaceutical companies in North America, Europe and Japan to develop new product and markets.
Among the biotech products in the pipeline, two are already marketed in China and some countries in the world.
 1.GenHeal is a recombinant growth hormone for GHD (Growth Hormone Deficiency).
 2.OraVacs is an Oral Recombinant B-Subunit / Whole Cell Cholera Vaccine designed to provide immunity form cholera.
The other promising Biotech which is currently under development is the Recombinant Human Parathyroid (rhPTH) for the treatment of osteoporosis. Among the drugs for the treatment of osteoporosis,
rhPTH is the only known skeletal agent that can stimulate bone formation with better treatment effects and tolerance. Many clinical evidences have demonstrated that bone density has significantly increased after administration of rhPTH,
while the fracture risk has also been significantly reduced.
